Tier IV, a provider of open-source autonomous driving technologies, has launched its L4 V&V – an evaluation toolkit aimed at verifying and validating Level 4 autonomous driving functions. The toolkit will provide users with a scenario set, a dataset, testing tools, and a comprehensive verification and validation process. These features are together based on the provider’s recent achievement of Level 4 certification.
By offering design, simulation, and on-site testing support for safety evaluations, the toolkit will support autonomous vehicle manufacturers, local governments, operators, and evaluation institutions. Through it, Tier IV is ultimately aiming to help accelerate the implementation of autonomous driving at scale.
